From our 3D Printing Captain: I have some exciting news about our shop! New 3D Printer - Bambu Lab P1S We have a new printer in the 3D printing lab, thanks to our generous members! This printer will be available for use starting this evening at community craft day. The P1S has been upgraded with a hardened steel nozzle and extruder gears, which makes material compatibility equivalent to the X1C. Another wood shop tool training has been announced! From 1-7 PM on Thursday, June 19, we will be offering trainings on our Red Level tools. This is first-come first-served, if there are people ahead of you, you may be asked to wait.

More wood shop orientations have been announced! The 4 pm orientation on Sunday, June 15 will get you access to yellow wood-shop tools, and the 5 pm orientation on the same day will get you access to some red-level wood shop tools.

We have announced 2 new Electronics Shop Orientation Sessions for our Members. The first is June 15 from 6-8 PM and the second is June 17 from 6-8 PM. Please RSVP on the MeetUp Events and comment the time you will be arriving as we can only train 5 people at a time.

Two new Fiber Arts Orientations have been announced for June 12 at 6 and 7PM. The 6PM slot is a shop-level orientation, and the 7PM slot is for tool-specific training for red level tools

Our first wood shop orientations have been announced! This orientation will get you access to yellow-level tools in the wood shop and is required for any future red-level tool trainings.

We're trying something new with Office Hours at MAKE Roanoke! Designed to offer help using a specific tool or craft, Office Hours are open to the public to get hands-on assistance with your next project. Our first set of Office Hours will be for the Cricut on Tuesday, May 20 from 6-8 PM. We'll have several Cricuts available to cut out vinyl, fabric, leather, cardstock, and very thin balsa wood and people who can help bring your project to life. Members can also come to get tr

All three people running for Board in last month's board election got the required amount of votes to serve on MAKE Roanoke's Board! With 31 total votes cast, Matthew Brown, Will Carter, and and Chris Santacroce will serve on the MAKE Roanoke Board of Directors through May 2027.
