About the event
Join us for MAKE Roanoke's first class, taught by David Sproles! "Introduction to Electronics: Transistor Demonstration" will cover some fundamentals of electronics such as what a transistor, LED, and resistor are and how they work. Additionally, the class will show what is a solderless breadboard and what is inside it, as well as the concepts of closed vs open circuit.
This class is suggested for ages 18 or older. Students will take home a small demonstration circuit.
David earned a BSME in 1977 from Virginia Tech and has worked in Mechanical Engineering for 37 years. He retired in 2015 and since retiring has been teaching STEM Enrichment Hands-on Workshops.
